Two Thursdays, June 25th and July 9th, from 5:45pm to 7:45pm
Summer, a time for projects, growing a garden, being in nature, and for
socializing with friends and family. In qigong practice, it’s a time for focusing
on the Heart and our Spirit.
In this class, using varying proportions of movement, regulated breathing
and the mind, you’ll learn to:
Take on the persona of the Monkey;
Move like the Dragon;
Mix terrestrial and celestial energies in your body;
Nourish your Heart and Spirit.
Use visualization and strong emotion to benefit organ health.
In two sessions, you’ll learn a variety of exercises, a meditation, also
practical dietary suggestions, that will enable you to take care of yourself
and still have plenty of time to enjoy other activities of the season.
Take home a detailed handout to aid in your continued practices that can easily be adjusted to fit your schedule.
All activities can be adjusted for a variety of ages and abilities.
Dress comfortably for movement and stillness. Bring a writing instrument and water. Eat lightly before class.
The cost for this two-session series is $49.
Since the mid-1980’s, Kirk Norby has learned and practiced a wide variety of qigong, qigong meditations and self-massage. He’s become increasingly aware of the multi-layered benefits of these practices and enjoys sharing them with others.
