December 12, 19 and January 9, 16 A
dditional sessions for practice and polishing: January 23 and 30
Qigong (chee' gung) - In Qigong, the Kidneys are considered the foundation of our health. They support the
functions of the other organs/organ systems. The “Kidneys” are more than the physical
organs. They are a group of structures and functions in the body that also include the
bones, ears and brain.
Winter is the season when the Kidneys are more active
energetically, a time when they are more sensitive to injury and to healing.
You are invited to participate in this series of classes where, employing movement,
regulated breathing and mental intention, you will learn gentle exercises and
meditations that are beneficial for the Kidneys, including:
Two sets of centuries-old exercises—one for the kidneys, one for the bones;
The essential exercise for winter;
A meditation that nourishes the major energy reservoirs in the body and develops the pathway that connects them;
Another meditation that develops the major energy pathway on the outside of the body;
Practical suggestions for your winter diet.
The exercises can be adjusted for a variety of abilities. Learn and practice in class, then
continue your practice at home with a detailed handout. Two optional sessions are
available for continued practice and refinement.
$49 for all 4 classes
Additional Sessions on January 23 and 30 $10/each
