In collaboration with S.A.F.E., facilitator Barb Lucas will guide attendees through a meditative, luminary labyrinth experience.
This event will be held outdoors, on the Hamilton High School soccer field located off of Freeze Lane. The modified medieval labyrinth pattern (illuminated by electric candles) takes only 10-15 minutes to complete, during which the intention is to walk in solidarity with survivors of sexual assault and other forms of violence. It will be encouraged to meditate on thoughts of healing, and the hope of a safer future.
There will be seating available, as well as finger-labyrinths for non-mobile folx. The event will be live streamed via S.A.F.E.’s social media programs.
Additionally, attendees are invited to wear teal, the color of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. There will be a sale on teal clothing items at the S.A.F.E. thrift store.
All attendees will receive a free labyrinth themed “worry stone,” created in porcelain by Rooted Ceramics.
*All donations will go directly to S.A.F.E. programs.
