This November 6th, Opened Ended Expressive Art Studio will be hosting a Studio Tour, featuring art by several members of the Artists Along the Bitterroot:
"I am an intuitive creator and collector of found objects. My work starts with a compelling desire to play with certain materials, (sticks and paper for example) without knowing what the result might be. Over the years, I have learned to pay attention to these "compelling desires" for they have invariably led me down the most amazing creative paths.”
"Like nature, my body of photographic artwork and poetic writings is a collective of life and stories—living, thriving, and breathing together.
Nature draws me outside—away from the computer, office, TV, and my dwellings. At the same time, nature invites me inside to recharge my well-being, delve into my emotions, contemplate my thoughts, and cultivate my creativity."
"My art is my spiritual practice. The time I spend creating feels like deep prayer. My mind quiets and becomes receptive. Time recedes and a door to the imaginal realm opens, if I persist.
I love to play with paint and paper, shape and texture. I prefer mixed media and assemblage and find these forms provide me the most freedom to mess around, explore, get it wrong, and start again."
We hope you will join us on November 6th for this Studio Tour, see you there!
