Qigong: Nourish Your Kidneys; Nourish Your Bones

Winter. The time when nature rests. This is as true for the plants and animals in our environment as it is for us. It doesn’t mean there isn’t any activity, just less of it.

In the Five Phase paradigm, Winter is the Water Phase, the time when we focus on the health of the Kidneys.

In qigong, the Kidneys are considered to be the foundation of our health,

because they energize the other organs in the body.

In this series we’ll go deep. With movement, regulated breathing and

visualization, you’ll learn to take on the persona of the bear and move qi

into your bones; learn the essential exercise for your Kidneys.

When you participate in this class, you’ll also learn an enjoyable meditation

that energizes the three major energy reservoirs in your body and the

channel that connects them.

Learn practical suggestions for your winter diet, too.

We’ll meet in a short series of sessions so you can learn what is shared,

practice at home with the aid of a detailed handout, then meet again to

learn more and refine your practice.

The exercises can be adjusted for a variety of abilities and your practice at home can be adjusted to fit your schedule.

Tuesdays - December 1, 8, 15 and 22. $49 for all four sessions

Optional practice and polishing – Tuesdays, Jan. 5 and 12. $10 each

All sessions – 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.

Dress for movement and stillness. Bring water and a pencil. Eat

lightly.
