Erin Benefiel

Erin was raised in the wooded hills of Southern Illinois; a region cradled between the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers known as Little Egypt.

Part of a large extended family, her grandmother and great aunts were always cooking up something creative. Whether oil painting, singing around the piano, sewing Christmas dresses or frying potatoes—there was always magic in the air.

Art came naturally to Erin and she went on to earn a BA in Art History from Southern Illinois University.

After many years of travel and adventure, her landing in the Bitterroot Valley was admittedly unexpected—a planned visit to see her brother turned into full-time residency.

Erin has found her involvement at open-ended natural, where people gather to share stories over brushstrokes and stitches—just like home.

Erin has worked previously at Garden City Harvest, a non-profit in Missoula, MT and owns Lylac Bookkeeping.
